Eng. Amr AlMadani, the CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla, visited Old Town on 18 January 2020 to inspect the conservation work progress.
During the visit, Dr Mahmoud Bendakir, HCC CEO and Project Director with the presence of Dr David Gandreau, from CRAterre, the team of archaeologists from EVEHA as well as Yann Gayet from Geokali, accompanied the RCU delegation and presented their respective program.
Dr Mahmoud Bendakir presented the HCC program, the installation of the brickyard, the launch of the archaeological cleaning and the 3D laser scanning documentation of the pilot project area as well as the progress of the restoration work in the AlZawiyah and Hamad Bin Yunus mosques.
